After studying with Michel Cals and then Jacques Delécluse at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, Florent Jodelet went on to perfect his skills with Jean-Pierre Drouet. He also took lessons with Jannis Xenakis and studied electroacoustic music with Michel Zbar.

Since the beginning of his career, Florent has been strongly committed to serving today’s composers. He has premiered many works, in particular for solo percussion and has earnt the trust of many composers, for whom he is now a preferential partner.
Florent has performed in some of the most prestigious concert halls and music festivals throughout France and abroad: performing as a recitalist, as guest soloist with orchestras, as well as in chamber music ensembles.
 

Performing chamber music has given Florent the opportunity to interact with some of the most talented artists and to work on broadening the repertoire that involves percussion.

Florent Jodelet is a soloist of the internationally renowned National Orchestra of France, which performs under the direction of the world’s top conductors.

He is also an official member of the TM+ orchestra with whom he regularly performs.

Florent is particularly passionate about promoting works he supports and does so through facilitating the production of high quality recordings.

As assistant professor at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, as well as guest professor in many countries, Florent mentors the new generation of percussionists.
